Course aims: The Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Scalp Micropigmentation is aimed at learners who want to broaden their knowledge and develop their practice within the health and beauty sector. They qualification is designed to prepare learners for employment in the sector

Qualification Structure: To successfully complete the Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Scalp Micropigmentation Treatment, learners must complete 3 mandatory units to achieve 20 credits

This course covers: 

• Understand and implement health and safety practices and infection control
• Understand advanced skin assessments and investigative consultations
• Understand skin types and conditions and able to conduct a skin analysis and investigative consultation
• Understand scalp micropigmentation procedures
• Understand importance of advanced skin analysis and assessment procedures and practices for aesthetic treatments
• Implement advanced consultation, skin analysis and assessment for

Structure:  This qualification is internally assessed.  Each learner must create a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria.

You will attend practical training, followed by the completion of 6 case studies.  Once the case studies have been signed off, you will then need to perform 6 observations.   The 6 observations have to cover:

• Treatment area: Scalp, Hairline
• Objectives: Forming a hairline, Hairline definition, Natural hair line improvement, Balance of natural hairline, Skin colouring, Scalp/hair follicle stimulate, Scalp camouflage, Hair like strokes, Improve appearance

You will need access to a computer and Word (or equivalent).
